“Al-Kafi is considered one of the most important narrative Hadith compilations to have reached us, owing to its antiquity and proximity to the era of the Imams (peace be upon them)—having been compiled by al-Kulayni during the Minor Occultation (al-Ghaybah al-Sughra) before his passing at its close—in addition to the breadth of its chapters encompassing foundational creed (Usul), jurisprudence (Furu‘), prophetic traditions (Sunan), and ethics.”
“Verily, I am leaving among you the Two Weighty Things (al-Thaqalayn): the Book of Allah and my progeny, my Ahlul Bayt.” — Paired in our hosted Rijal corpus with al-Najashi’s authentication of Ibn Qulawayh (d. 368 AH), compiler of Kamil al-Ziyarat: “Abu al-Qasim Ja‘far ibn Muhammad ibn Qulawayh is among our most reliable and eminent companions in Hadith and Fiqh; whatever praise of trustworthiness and jurisprudence people are described with, he stands above it.”
